Tinryland U-16s Win Again

Tinryland made it 2 wins out of 3 in the U16 Football championship when they overcame Muinebheag in Rathcrogue on Friday last. The winners led by 1- 3 to 0-2 at the interval with the goal coming in the opening minute from full forward Adam Mullen who crashed home a long delivery from Jason Curran. Muinebheag began the second half on a positive note when corner forward Cillian Doyle pointed before goalkeeper Keith Hickey made a point blank save at the other end to keep his side in contention. 3 points from Niall Lowry, Conall Dunne and Ciaran Larkin extended the home teams advantage which increased in a ten minute spell when corner forward Jason Curran added one goal and three points. Muinebheag rallied with a point from Jamie Clark and a goal on the stroke of full time from centre forward Stephen Crowe. Best for the winners were Rory Doyle, John Murphy, Cathal Gaffney, Niall Lowry, Ciaran Larkin, Conall Dunne and Jason Curran. Muinebheag had impressive players in goalkeeper Keith Hickey, defenders Adam Kehoe, Dylan Nolan, and Sean Haughney. Midfielders Liam Galway and Jamie Clarke never stopped trying while Stephen Crowe and Cillian Doyle impressed in the forward line.
