Tinryland Minor B team win the first Silverware of the season in M.F.L. Div. 3 final

Tinryland minor B team defeated Burren Rangers in the M.F.L. Division 3 final at the centre of excellance in Fenagh on Wednesday evening 23rd April. After the opening exchanges Tinryland’s Peter Hennesy was first on the scoresheet when he raised a white flag in the 4th minute from a 45.

A great 4 man move involving  Sean Regan, Bradleigh Nolan and Adam Nolan resulted in Killian Maher who had an outstanding game pointing. Adam Nolan then got on the scoresheet after good work from Odhran Keenan before Eoin Fields forced a great save from Burren goalkeeper Jack Ryan. Killian Maher however was on hand to slot home the rebound to give Tinryland a six point advantage. Burren Rangers then hit back but were denied a certain goal   from Daniel O’Connor and Tinryland responded when outstanding player Sean Regan delivered a great ball to Bradleigh Nolan who spotted Tinryland captain Luke Nolan making a run and when Luke transferred to Killian Maher the Bomber make no mistake in extending the lead. After a Burren point from Rory O’Connor it was Tinryland with the wind who extended their lead when defender Seamus Curran delivered a great pass to full forward Brendan Quirke-Bolt who with the help of Killian Maher and Eoin Fields passed back to Seamus Curran who duly slotted over. Half Time Tinryland 1-8 Burrin Rangers 0-1

With wind advantage Burren Rangers were more competitive in the 2nd half but great goalkeeping from Keelan Gaffney kept them at bay. They began to clock up the scores however and their tails were up when they scored 1-4 in the opening 12 minutes. Tinryland got moving again however mid way through the half and Sean Kirwan, Adam Mullen and Niall Scully linked well with Killian Maher who went on to finish with a personal tally of 1-7 from play. Burren with the wind continued to press but despite scoring a further 4 points in the closing stages Tinryland ran out deserving winners on a final score of Tinryland 1-12 Burren Rangers 1-8
