U16 league champions Tinryland clocked up another win in the championship when they defeated the home side in McGrath Park on Friday 2nd August. The opening 30 minutes was a competitive affair with James McGrath’s goal for the winners the highlight. Muinebheag stayed in contention with good point taking from Jamie Clarke (2), Roy Sheehy and Andrew Kane.

With wind advantage Tinryland quickly asserted in the 2nd half scoring goals from sub Adam Mullen, Peter Hennessy and Conall Dunne. Excellent defending from Bradleigh Nolan, Fionnan Burke, Conor Ryan and Cathal Gaffney kept the home side at bay while up front excellent point taking from Conor McGrath, Peter Hennessy, Niall Lowry and Conall Dunne kept the scoreboard ticking.  Tinryland had outstanding players in Bradleigh Nolan, Fionnan Burke, Conor McGrath, Niall Lowry, James McGrath scorer of 1-7 and Cathal Gaffney. Muinebheag were best served by Keith Hickey, Darren Crooks, Andrew Kane, Roy Sheehy, Michael Gardiner and Jamie Clarke.

Tinryland will be back in action on this coming Friday 9th August with a crucial home tie against Eire Og  at 7.30 p.m. in what promises to be a cracking game
