Mount Leinster Rangers defeat Tinryland in S.F.L. Div. 1

Two first half goals from Mount Leinster Rangers full forward Eoin Doyle gave the south Carlow men the impetus to grab the league points and keep Tinryland pointless after 4 games in the league at Rathcrogue on Wednesday 29th April. A poor opening half from the home team left the scoreboard reading 2-3 to 0-5 in M.L.R’s favour at the break. The second half saw an improved performance from the men in blue and white and despite winning the 2nd half by 0-5 to 0-4 Rangers ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-10. Tinryland are back in action on this coming Sunday evening 3rd may at home to Eire Og at 7 p.m.

Scorers Tinryland: Cormac Walshe 0-3, Keith Jackson 0-2, Shane Webb, Glen Doyle, Paul Doyle, Diarmaid Walshe, Padraig Townsend  1 point each.
