Well done to our club member Marcus Lawler from Ballycrogue a member of our minor panel on his extraordinary sprinting performances over the June Bank holiday weekend. His record breaking sprint double at the Irish schools senior championships included the 6th fastest time of 20.87 for 200m on the all time Irish senior list and puts him within a couple of hundredths of a second of qualifying for both this years World senior track and field championships and the Rio Olympic games.

Well done also to our minor goalkeeper Adam Murphy on his superb run in the relay helping Carlow C.B.S. along with Marcus to the gold medals. Tinryland minor player Conor O’Brien was a sub on the relay team.
