With the season coming to a conclusion Tinryland still have interest at a number of levels. On this coming Sunday 30th September the eagerly anticipated replay of the senior ladies football final with Old Leighlin has finally been fixed and will take place in McGrath Park Bagenalstown at 3 p.m.  If the re-match is even half as exciting as the drawn game it should be another thriller and the Bennekerry-Tinryland ladies will be hoping for a better start on Sunday in their efforts to win the Brady catering cup for a 4th successive season. It took a Lazarus type comeback to gain a draw at Netwatch Cullen Park two week’s ago in front of a large attendance and another large crowd of supporters from both clubs is expected at the Bagenalstown venue on Sunday. The winners will represent Carlow in the Leinster J.F.C. against the Wicklow Intermediate champions St. Patrick’s who defeated Valleymount in the final at Aughrim on Sunday last. That game has been fixed at a Wicklow venue for Sunday 7th October.

Tinryland Junior (A) team are due to play Asca in a relegation battle on this coming Friday 28th September at the Carlow training centre at 7.30 p.m.

At juvenile level Tinryland u13 footballers will play St. Patrick’s in the division 2B final at Netwatch Cullen Park on this coming Saturday 29th September at 12.30 p.m. The U17 team were in action last evening (Monday) in the round robin series away to Muinebheag.

Tinryland G.F.C. is this year celebrating 130 years in existence and will be part of the Carlow G.A.A. photographic and aertafact exhibition which is planned for the Fairgreen shopping centre from Friday 5th October to Sunday 14th October. Carlow G.A.A. is also celebrating 130 years in existence this year and the upcoming exhibition will feature all strands of the G.A.A. since the foundation of the organisation in Carlow in 1888.

The club lotto jackpot currently stands at 3,900 euro and the draw is held every Monday night in the clubhouse at 10 p.m.
