By Eamonn Byrne A new team manager for Tinryland seniors was ratified at an executive meeting on Monday last. Experienced former Laois and St. Joseph’s player Mick Moore who also has much experience in team management is the new boss for 2016. In an exciting development also he will be joined in an advisory role re strength, conditioning and injury prevention by former manager Mick Casey who spent 2 years with the club in 2013 and 2014. New manager Mick Moore was formerly at the helm in his own club St. Joseph’s together with O’Dempseys, and Killeshin in Laois and Ellistown and St. Laurences in Kildare. Mick was also the very successful coach of St. Leo’s college Carlow when that school won 3 Leinster and 3 All Ireland college’s senior titles some years ago. Tinryland senior and junior teams are expected to commence training for the new season in early February. |
