U13 match report:

Tinryland were favourites heading into this game but it was Clonmore who got the better start, scoring 2 goals and a point in quick succession. This was the wake up call Tinryland needed and they quickly settled into the game.  Jamie Doyle opened the scoring and got his first point of the day from a free kick to put Tinryland on the score board.  This was quickly followed by a goal and a point from Bobby Doyle to narrow the gap. Clonmore were unlucky not to pull further ahead after failing to convert on some great attacking play. A free kick from Tomás Murphy levelled the game, with Jamie Doyle getting a second to secure the lead. Tinryland were starting to take control of the game and Robbie Fitzgerald got a lovely point from play before Tomás Murphy finished the scoring in the first half with a goal to leave it 2-5 to 2-1 at half time. Tinryland started the second half more like the team they have become this year, the defence shut down the Clonmore forwards with Clonmore only scoring 0-1 in the second half and building from the back Tinryland pushed on in the second half to win comprehensively in the end. Jamie Doyle added 2-1, Jake O’Brien scored 1-1 & Daniel Walsh, Tomas Murphy & Mickey Byrne added a point each. Leaving the final score 5-10 to 2-2.
