Lotto:

Lotto results for Mon 17th June. The numbers drawn were 14, 15, 21, 25. There was no jackpot winner. Winners of €25 lucky dips: The Delaney Family c/o P. Delaney, Darren Murphy, Sandra Foley and Lily Butler. Promoters’ prize: Tom Delaney. Next week’s jackpot €7,700.

Upcoming matches:

In Div 3 semi-final Tinryland meet St. Patricks of Tullow at training centre Fenagh on Tue 25th at 7.45 pm. All support welcome.

Ladies football:

Bennekerry-Tinryland senior ladies edged a step closer to another Co. final when they easily defeated Mount Leinster Rangers in Borris on Sunday evening. Early goals from Aoife Timmons, Elaine Kelly and Roisin Byrne set the tone for this game and they built on their half time advantage with a further goal from Kelly early in the 2nd half. The final game in the group stages of this year’s S.F.C. will take place in early July against St. Fortcherns.

Best wishes to the Carlow ladies’ team who take on Louth in the Leinster Junior final at Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday next at 12 noon. This game is part of a triple header that includes Wexford and Meath in the Intermediate final and Dublin and Westmeath in the senior decider. The BT ladies who are part of the Carlow panel for next Sunday include Roisin Byrne, Amy Dwyer, Lauren Dwyer, Niamh Kelly, Nuala Mohan, Leah Mullins, Fiona O’Sullivan, Cliodhna Ni She, Deirdre Tomlinson and Elaine Ware.

Handball news:

Well done to the under 14 handballers from Tinryland who competed in Feile held in Broadford, Co. Limerick. They played some great handball but just fell short of reaching the final. Darragh Hayden, Philip Stankiewicz, Liam Donohue, Sara Nolan, and Daniel Donovan.

Dancing:

Social dancing at club house every Monday night from 9.30 pm - Midnight. Admission €10. Dancing on Mon 1st July to Glen Flynn.

School news:

The club in association with Tinryland N.S. hosted the 3rd annual Seamus Walshe football tournament for the pupils on Tuesday last. The event in memory of the late long serving officer Seamus Walshe was a huge success. The winning pink team were presented with the

cup by Jimmy Walshe son of the late Seamus. Tinryland G.F.C. extends thanks to the Walshe family for their generous sponsorship of this very popular tournament.
