Junior Football
On the field of play the Junior (B) team opened their championship campaign with a comfortable win over O’Hanrahans at a windy Rathcrogue on Wednesday last. In a low scoring first half Tinryland trailed their town opponents by 2 points at half time but with wind advantage enjoyed a much better 2nd half. Goals mid- way through the second half from Richard Whyte and Gary Moran and another near the end from Dean Farrell enabled the men in blue and white hoops to enjoy a 10 point victory. Tinryland’s next game in the J.F.C. (B) will be away to Eire Og on Wednesday 27th June.

Carlow Seniors
Best wishes to Paul Broderick, Cian Lawlor, Danny Moran, Shane Redmond, Diarmaid Walshe and the rest of the Carlow team in their clash with Tyrone on Saturday next at Netwatch Cullen Park in round 2 of the All Ireland qualifiers.

Tinryland U15
The Tinryland U15 panel together with their mentors and a number of parents will travel to London on Friday next to take part in an 8 team tournament organised by the London GAA board.
The tournament will be held on Saturday at the London Shamrocks ground at Tottenhall and Tinryland is the only club from Ireland participating. Months of planning and fundraising have gone into this project and Tinryland GFC wishes all the travelling party a very successful and enjoyable weekend in the English capital.
