Lotto:

Lotto results for Mon 10th June. The numbers drawn were 10, 12, 19, 24. There was no jackpot winner. Winners of €25 lucky dips: Ken Rothwell, Tom Hickey, Darren Foley and Sidney c/o Catherine Brennan Scully. Promoters’ prize: Catherine Brennan. Next week’s jackpot €7,600.

Months mind:

The months mind mass for the recently deceased President of Tinryland GFC will be held in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow on Sunday next 23rd June at 8.30 am.

Ladies football:

Bennekerry/Tinryland senior ladies will continue their 2019 championship challenge when they take on Mount Leinster Rangers in Borris on next Sunday evening 23rd June at 7.30 p.m. in round 2 of the S.F.C. In round 1 the BT ladies had a good win over current Carlow and Leinster champions Old Leighlin. The Bennekerry/Tinryland ladies will complete the league stages of the championship in early July against St. Fortcherns.

Golf classic:

After two enjoyable days of golfing in Gowran Park Michael Hutton, Martin Byrne, Mick Murphy and Darren Murphy were the winning team. 2nd John McHugh, Dick Gillman, Betty Kelly & David Byrne. 3rd Dale McGee, Shane O’Neill, Richard Whyte & Diarmaid Walshe. 4th Michael O’Brien, Tony Mitchell, Justin Manning & Jimmy Jordan. 5th Des Murphy, Jim Kielty, Barry Murphy & Billy Dunne. Bob Cahill was successful in the closest to pin category. Darragh O’Brien & Garry Doyle won longest drive prizes. Well done to the organising committee for all their hard work making this event a huge success and raising much needed funds for the club. Many thanks to all of the sponsor’s and players. The prize giving ceremony took place in the clubhouse on Saturday night.

Juvenile’s:

Tinryland GFC hosted Go Games for U7 & U9’s on Wednesday evening last. Over 120 children togged out for four clubs. Well done to all the players, mentors and coaches involved. The club in association with Tinryland N.S will hold the 3rd annual Seamus Walshe football tournament for the pupils on Tuesday 18th June.  

Athletics:

Well done to Eddie Walsh of Tinryland ac who won his category in the National 5 mile championships in the Phoenix Park over the weekend.
